Free service – No referral required
Early Medical Abortion (EMA) is available up to 10 weeks pregnancy (28-70 days after your last period), ideally done between 5-7 weeks.
EMA is sometimes called the ‘Abortion pill’ or ‘Non-surgical abortion’ because we use medication rather than surgery to terminate the pregnancy.
An EMA is designed for you to complete your abortion and miscarry in the privacy, comfort and convenience of your chosen safe place.
Abortion via telehealth
If are unable to or don’t want to visit a clinic, an EMA can be arranged via telephone or video calls.
EMA is free to NZ Citizens and Residents; if you need to check your eligibility, click/tap here.
